A long-running criminal investigation involving a Denver developer appears to be ending in an about-face by federal prosecutors.
Amazon filed an appeal after a federal judge dismissed its lawsuit against a former worker, accusing him of breaking his contract and stealing millions of dollars.
“This once again confirms that Amazon’s strategy is a war of attrition,” the head of Northstar Commercial Partners said in a court filing.
Two men already pleaded guilty. But two more expected plea agreements are no longer happening.
Casey Kirschner grew up in the Denver area. “This seizure should never have occurred,” his attorney said.
