Wind Creek Bethlehem plans to pay its 1,600 employees over 3-week state shutdown

At midnight, Wind Creek Bethlehem will close for the second time this year, but it plans to continue to pay its active employee throughout the three-week shutdown.
Amid surging COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths, Gov. Tom Wolf on Thursday ordered the state’s casino to close as part of his latest targeted mitigation effort, which goes into effect 12:01 a.m. Saturday and lasts until 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4.
The state’s casinos have been operating at 50% capacity since they reopened in June after the first state shutdown. River Casinos Philadelphia was shutdown by the city Nov. 20. ....
