As the manager of The Chase care centre in Watford, I’m writing to share my heartfelt thanks to everyone in our local community for helping us to make the festive season so special for our residents. While we couldn’t observe some of the usual traditions that we love, we did everything we could to make it memorable for all the right reasons. What made it all the more special was the outpouring of support we received from those around us: we were overwhelmed by cards, gifts and donations received from friends across our community. Our residents were particularly touched to receive a huge delivery of 55 handmade cards from Watford Grammar School and 75 cards from Cassiobury Junior School. We also received ‘Violet’s Gifts’ from the Small Acts of Kindness charity, for those of our residents who have no loved ones. This kindness truly brought so many smiles to the home and we’re all incredibly grateful. ....
