RESIDENTS and staff at care homes across Dorset have been making 'Time for a Cuppa' as part of an annual fundraising drive. Colten Care homes have been putting the kettles on to raise money for Dementia UK's biggest annual fundraising drive, Time for a Cuppa, which helps families affected by the disease. The care home chain, with 21 homes across the South West, held tea parties for all its residents. At Castle View in Dorchester, the party was a hit with residents, including Eileen Weller. She said: "The scones were scrummy and I was over the moon with the wonderful party and music."
THE Church of England's longest serving priest has been leading services of worship every week at a Dorset care home. Reverend Jim Cocke, 94, has been leading Sunday services at Colten Care's Castle View care home in Poundbury since the first lockdown began more than a year ago.
