Staff at Castlegate House gallery in Cockermouth are counting down the days until they can reopen their doors. They will be reopening "after what seems an age" on April 15 and have been preparing with much on show, including a room dedicated to eight rare early works from the late Bob Crossley, all dating from 1958-61 - displaying British mid-century modernism. Bob was born in Rochdale, before moving to St Ives in Cornwall, where he developed a strong colour abstraction, becoming more figurative during 1958 to 61.
