The visuals will never quite match the soaring emotions the characters’ struggles and triumphs evoke, but damned if they don’t come close. GKIDS Schedules ‘The Cat Returns’ Anime Steelbook Release GKIDS is continuing to work through the Studio Ghibli catalog that they have the rights to and they’ve now set plans for  The Cat Returns with a new steelbook edition. The film was last released in standard form with a  January 16th, 2018 debut that we saw in dual format form. Now, a new steelbook edition with both the DVD and Blu-ray included is set for a March 16th, 2021 debut priced at $26.98.
