The Alachua County Criminal Justice Center will be renamed in honor of the late U.S. District Judge Stephan P. Mickle.

County courthouse renamed in honor of late Judge Mickle The next step will be developing a budget for things like signage and associated expenses. "The criminal courthouse will be renamed 'The Judge Stephan P. Mickle Sr. Criminal Courthouse,'" said Ken Cornell, chair of the Alachua County Commission. “We have to develop a budget.
