Town of Pines residents sign letter urging EPA to ban using toxic coal ash as fill in construction
More than 30 Hoosiers, including some residents of the Town of Pines, signed on to a multi-state letter urging the Environmental Protection Agency to ban the use of coal ash as fill in construction. This comes after a recent EPA risk assessment draft showed exposure to coal ash used as fill can increase peoples risk of cancer and other health issues.
