MICHIGAN CITY — With literacy rates at a crisis level among Indiana third-graders, Michigan City Area Schools is taking steps to make sure all students become proficient readers.
“Students in our district, like school-age children across the country, experienced learning loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Superintendent Barbara Eason-Watkins said.
