He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Witzel. He is survived by his five children, Lois, Michael, Christopher, Joanne and Charles Jr.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and sister, Cathy McCue. Chuck, as he was known by many, was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a commercial truck driver for most of his formal career and loved traveling all over the country in his truck. He was part of the Coast Guard Auxiliary based in Southport and enjoyed that up until he became ill. Chuck was a really great listener and loved his 4 p.m. martini.
