What Plymouth and Norfolk counties can do with $238 million in stimulus funds
Norfolk and Plymouth county leaders know they are in line for an estimated $238 million in funding from the $1.9 trillion federal stimulus package passed in March, but are still waiting from guidance from the U.S. Treasury Department on what they can do with the money. Estimates from the National Association of Counties put Norfolk County's slice of the $1.3 billion earmarked for counties in Massachusetts at $137 million, which needs to be spent by the end of 2024.
