Ammo found, women arrested in separate police exercises A small arsenal of ammunition was found by Western Division police officers on Saturday. Police said they were on an anti-crime exercises co-ordinated by Snr Supt Kelvern Thompson and other officers of the Western Division which included inspectors Bruno and Grant. Police went to a bushy area at Upper La Puerta, Diego Martin when they found 2,601 rounds of assorted ammunition. Seventeen persons were arrested for various offences by officers of the Central Division during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Couva district, in the early hours of Friday 18th December 2020. A release from the Police Service reports that during the exercise, officers proceeded to a night club at Perseverance, Couva, where they arrested 12 persons for breach of the COVID Regulations.  The individuals, who are from the Couva and California districts, also were ticketed for failing to wear a face mask.
