County recommends candidate for emergency manager position The Shawnee News-Star Pottawatomie County Commissioners went into executive session and voted to recommend Chad Larman as the Pottawatomie County Emergency Manager during their regular meeting Monday. In the meeting, District 1 Commissioner Melissa Dennis said the commissioners agreed Larman’s starting salary would be $51,000. Larman has been offered the position but has not yet accepted.
