Jackson County United Way director stepping down for family Staff Reports After more than eight years as executive director of Jackson County United Way, Tonja Couch will leave the organization next month. Her last day on the job will be Jan. 29. She is leaving to pursue new opportunities and focus on family, she said. “I feel like I have accomplished great things during my time as the executive director of United Way; however, that involved a significant time investment on my part and ultimately a sacrifice to my family,” she said.
