Chandler Officer Farrar laid to rest CHANDLER, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A long-time Arizona lawman who was killed in the line of duty was laid to rest Saturday. 50-year-old Christopher Farrar was struck and killed by a suspect in a stolen car. Services were held Saturday at the Compass Christian Church in Chandler. Farrar was an 18-year veteran of the Chandler police force. His distinguished career included the medal of honor in 2004 and four lifesaving awards. The Chandler Police Chief, Sean Duggan reflects on Farrar s character serving the people of Chandler. Chris had a heart of gold. His personal philosophy was pretty simple. Treat people fairly. And with dignity and respect, Duggan said. He touched people s lives.
