A COMMUNITY has rallied behind a man after his allotment was targeted in an arson attack just days before Christmas. Police officers were alerted to the blaze in Nutburn Road, North Baddesley, after a shed was torched and windows in a greenhouse were smashed. It is believed the attack happened sometime between 8.30pm and 11pm on Saturday, December 19. Well-wishers have already donated £1,180 to help Paul Batty rebuild his plot, which he would have been forced to give up without their help.
