When poet, artist and activist Chanel Briggs arrived on P.E.I., they realized they needed support of community to help feel more at home. Briggs has been named one of P.E.I.'s Black Changemakers, a series putting the spotlight on current-day changemakers from Atlantic Canada's Black communities.

Chanel Briggs, who received an anti-racism micro-grant from the province, is looking for submissions for an anthology celebrating and highlighting the experiences of Island residents of colour.
