Chattanooga history: First Baptist, Eighth Street, product of several splits
The July 17, 1916, Chattanooga Times headline proclaimed "Church's 50th Anniversary," noting that "members and friends of the First Baptist Church on Eighth Street celebrated with special services yesterday," under the leadership of pastor Rev. C.A. Bell.
