The King County Prosecutor is upholding the jury's decision from this month's inquest into Charleena Lyles' death, and choosing not to prosecute the two officers responsible for the death of Charleena Lyles in 2017.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office reviewed the findings of the inquest into the death of Charleena Lyles, agreeing there is no evidence to prove officers carried out criminal conduct.
A unanimous King County coroner’s jury decided that Seattle police officers Steven McNew and Jason Anderson were justified when they shot and killed Charleena Lyles and had no other reasonable alternative when they pulled the trigger.
