(TNN) - Friends and family are remembering Dr. Charles Whitlow, a man who pastored in Lawton and across the country for nearly 50 years. Dr. Charles Whitlow served as the pastor at Union Baptist Church for decades. “Dr. Whitlow was a phenomenal man, great preacher and awesome pastor. Community leader, greatly involved, nationally, statewide and of course here locally,” said Dr. Willie Smith. “Dr. Whitlow was a person that said little but meant much. His words had great weight. Dr. Whitlow was a person that never ever, and I say never ever, said an evil thing about a person that wasn’t true,” said Dr. Bettye Gaines. ....
