I can still remember vividly back in 1989 – at the height of excitement over the Batman film – going into Newbury Comics and picking up the first issue of Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight. The anthology series had some great talent, new and old alike, with multi-issue storylines that stood alone and did some great character focus.
