The latter was of some concern when the run director wished me luck with getting back to the UK! It turned out that luck did play its part as we got the second last flight out of Perth to the UK and arrived back on lockdown day, the 23rd March! I first heard about parkrun from our son Graeme in Australia in 2012 and thought it was an Australian ‘invention’. ’50 runs and you get a tee shirt Dad’. I laughed!
