전국에서 연일 1000명을 훌쩍 넘는 코로나19 확진자가 나오는 상황 속 이번 주말(10~11일) 충북 청주시에서 대규모 대중음악 공연이 열리는 것으로 알려져 우려가 커지고 있다.
8일 청주시에 따르면 오는 10~11일 청주대학교 석우문화체육관에서 '내일은 미스터트롯 TOP6 대국민 감사콘서트' 청주 공연이 열린다.
이번 공연은 사회적 거리두기 개편 이후 청주에서 처음 열리는 대규모 공연인 탓에 수많은 인파가 몰릴 가능성이 크다.
공연을 회당 2500명씩 4차례 진행한다는 점을 고려하면 시는 최소 1만 명 이상이 관람할 것으로 보고 있다.
문제는 이번 공연이 코로나19 전국 확산의 매개체로 이어질 가능성이 크다는 점이다.
청주는 지리적으로 우리나라 중심에 위치해 서울·수도권은 물론 경상도, 전라도와도 가깝다.
수도권은 최근 코로나19 확산으로 정부가 사회적 거리두기 4단계 격상을 고려할 정도로 상황이 심각하다.
감염원을 알 수 없는 수도권의 무증상 관객이 청주를 방문해 다른 지역 관객과 접촉할 시 코로나19 전국 확산은 불 보듯 뻔하다.
이런 상황에서도 청주시는 공연을 막을 방법이 없다.
정부의 사회적 거리두기 개편안에 따라 청주시는 현재 거리두기 1단계이기 때문이다.
1단계에서는 좌석을 띄워 앉지 않아도 되고, 인원과 운영시간 제한도 없다. 청주 공연이 열릴 수밖에 없는 이유다.
결국, 시는 주최 측과 상의해 거리두기 2단계에 준하는 방역지침을 준수하도록 했다.
주최 측은 △동반자 외 한 좌석 띄어앉기 실시 △출입구별 발열 체크 △QR코드 입력 및 신분증 확인 후 명부 작성 △공연 중 마스크 벗는 관객 즉시 퇴장 조치 △떼창·함성 금지 안내 등 방역관리 계획을 시에 제출했다
시도 △증상 의심자 자가진단 키트 사용 △수기 명부 작성 관람객 안심콜 사용 △공연장 환기 위한 공조기 지속 사용 △공연 전·후 실내 환기 위한 공연장 개방 등을 요청했다.
이외에도 △코로나19 의심 증상자 출입 제한 △공연장 이외 관객 이동 예상 경로 방역 △관객 대상 KF94 마스크 착용 안내 문자 발송 △손잡이 등 표면소독 △진행 요원 등 PCR검사 권고 △문진표 작성 등을 당부했다.
시는 공연 당일에는 현장에 점검반을 투입해 방역수칙 준수 여부를 상시 점검할 예정이다.
하지만, 전문가들은 "감염 예방을 위해서는 공연을 취소하는 것이 최선"이라고 입을 모은다.
김준형 충북대학교병원 감염내과 전문의는 "대규모 인원이 모이면 거리두기를 한다고 해도 접촉이 늘어날 수밖에 없어 감염 위험도가 높아질 것"이라며 "수도권에서 유행한다면 지리적으로 멀지 않은 충북은 물론 전국으로 퍼질 가능성이 크다"고 우려를 표했다.
시 관계자는 "현재 사회적 거리두기 지침으로 공연을 막을 방법이 없어 주최 측과 협의해 최대한 입장 관중을 줄인 것"이라며 "코로나19가 확산하지 않도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
