Hearing set on moves to get jail oversight info from Justice | Politics
A judge has scheduled a hearing for May 31 on requests plaintiffs who have been inmates at West Virginia correctional facilities have made seeking information from Gov. Jim Justice and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mark Sorsaia. The plaintiffs' motions are pending in a class-action lawsuit alleging state officials have allowed inhumane conditions at correctional facilities through chronic overcrowding, understaffing and deferred maintenance.
