Jeff LaFountain, Kirksville Regional Airport director, presented a program to the members of the Rotary Club of Scotland County on May 22. LaFountain discussed the Contour Airlines service between Kirksville and Chicago. He reported that after a rough start with the new Contour air service in August 2023, the airline has now seen 10 months of service and much better passenger satisfaction in the last three months. The Contour jet is a twin engine aircraft with 16 seats. All seats are First Class seating with ample leg room. The aircraft is wheelchair accessible. The Contour air service is currently running 73-85 percent on time and 750-900 passengers per month. There are two flights per day between Kirksville and Chicago O Hare Airport, except on Tuesdays and Saturdays there is only one flight.
