Senate proposes stronger gun safety laws to protect all residents, make Massachusetts safer

Armed policemen allegedly sent by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, have vacated the private residence of Chioma Edoka Okoli after laying siege to the house for over 10 hours.  The police personnel invaded her home on Tuesday morning over the review of a tomato product made Erisco Foods Limited on Facebook. Okoli, a female customer was previously arrested for reviewing the tomato product. Her house is located at Sangotedo in Lagos State. Chioma Okoli was arrested and detained in September 2023.

Human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, has said that he would rather go to prison than compromise or convince Mrs. Chioma Edoka Okoli to tender an apology to the Chief Executive Officer of Erisco Foods Limited over the case of her review of the firm’s tomato product on Facebook. Inibehe, who said this on Wednesday said that people had been mounting pressure on him to advise Okoli to beg or settle with Erisco after some policemen allegedly sent by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, laid siege to Okoli’s house in Lagos State for over 10 hours on Tuesday.

Her house is located at Sangotedo in Lagos State. Chioma Okoli was previously arrested and detained in September 2023 over her review of a tomato product manufactured by Erisco Foods Limited.
