Rutherford County Sheriff’s Major Steve Spence was promoted to deputy chief over support services by Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh effective Monday, May 30. Spence will work with Fitzhugh in preparing the Sheriff’s Office budget. He will supervise human resources and accounts payable.
