Former Jemison Police Chief Jeff Townsend passed away Thursday morning of natural causes, according to the Jemison Police Department. The police department said Chief Townsend served his community and the law enforcement profession for over 30 years. Adding that much of his career was spent as Jemison's Police Chief.
