When police interrupted a man hanging out with a teenage girl at a park, they uncovered a repugnant case of exploitation.
It was October 12, 2019 and the man was on bail for prior offending.
Mackay District Court heard his phone had four posed images of an intellectually-disabled 15-year-old girl including in her underwear, nude and another exposing her genitalia.
Police also found four days of sexualised messages between the girl and a 24-year-old Mackay man.
He pleaded guilty to using an electronic communication with an intent to procure a person under 16 in a sexual act and knowingly possessing child exploitation material. ....

A Coast father whose “sexual frustration” led him to start an erotic conversation with a teen girl has been found guilty of child grooming offences.
Jason Scott Hastie planned to meet an undercover police officer, who he believed was a 14-year-old girl, after having online sexual conversations with her between December 28, 2019 and January 16, last year.
The Dulong resident pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to using the internet to procure children under 16 and grooming a child under 16 years with intent to expose to indecent matter.
During a two-day trial a jury heard how Mr Hastie had sexual conversations with the girl over a number of social media platforms and told her he would like to “lick her out”, “feel her t..s” and “f..k her”. ....

Man, 37, allegedly caught with child exploitation material

It is alleged he uploaded child abuse material to a Google account.
He was charged with three offences and is expected to face Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday.

Man accused of distributing child pornography out on bail

Mr Sweeney applied to have conditions of his bail varied in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Represented by defence lawyer Cassandra Ditchfield, Mr Sweeney had applied to be allowed to have unsupervised contact with his own children and access to emails.
Ms Ditchfield said the condition had put a strain on his partner who has to take their children with her every time she leaves the house as Mr Sweeney is not allowed to be alone with them.
Ms Ditchfield said there was no allegations that any of the images were of his own children.
In regards to email access she asked the court to consider emails were not a common way of sending or receiving child exploitation material. ....
