The United Way of Wayne County is getting ready to kick off its 2021 campaign with frontrunners who set the pace of the annual fundraising effort. The frontrunners campaign begins July 12 and ends Aug. 15, with the United Way’s annual campaign officially starting Aug. 19. The frontrunners campaign, which includes major investors, used to be the pacesetters campaign, which began in Wayne County in the 1960s to set the pace for the rest of the drive.
