New Study Proves a New England State is the Healthiest in the U.S

When I think about living a healthy lifestyle, I think about getting enough sleep, eating the right food, prioritizing my mental health and keeping my stress levels low. In general, I try to lead a healthy life. But I am also an American therefore I work too much, I often don't get enough sleep, and I love me a big ol' bacon double cheeseburger from time to time. Did I mention wine? Yeah, I love that too. But red wine is good for your heart right?
A site called Best Life did a really interesting study where they ranked each state from most healthy to least healthy. They analyzed each state's accessibility to healthcare, how many servings of fruits and veggies they are consuming, sleep habits and more. I was a little nervous to see where the New England states ranked because we don't always do so hot in these types of surveys. I was pleasantly surprised to see many New England states in the top 10. YEEHAW! Apparently we're doing something right! I'll break it down for you:

Volunteer Group Delivers Baskets of Joy to Elders in Rochester

I recently learned about an awesome organization called
“Grandly Rochester” and I want to spread the word about. They have an incredible mission that is extremely important especially now. We all know that the past year has been extremely difficult and isolating for elderly people. They have been separated from the grandchildren, children, and in some cases even their spouses. So Kate Poulin decided to start a volunteer group whose mission is to the lift the spirits of elderly people in the Rochester, New Hampshire community. The group started just with just one person (Kate) and has expanded to 238 people since December! How incredible is that?

Perhaps you have heard me talk about my infatuation with pigs before. Ever since the movie "Babe" came out when I was a little girl, I became a big pig enthusiast. I started collecting pig stuffed animals and beanie babies (which my mom took the liberty of donating when they sold my childhood home. It's cool, I'm not bitter) And whenever we would visit farms I would beg to see the pigs! I love to watch them run around their pen, especially the babies. Here is a pig named Gertie that I bonded with on a farm in Vermont a few years ago. She was a nice lady.

I'm Determined to Find This Elusive Polar Seltzer Flavor in NH

I have become a big fan of Polar Seltzer over the past few years. I especially love the limited edition fun flavors they release in the Summertime. Remember unicorn kisses? It tasted like cotton candy! Or Mermaid songs? I forget what that one tasted like but I remember the can was really precious. I am a sucker for a pretty can.

Polar Seltzer has been in the bubbly water business for 138 years! That is over four generations! And for all of those years it has been family-owned and operated, which is pretty awesome.
According to Boston.com, the Worcester Massachusetts based company celebrated their 100th recipe on Monday. They decided to celebrate this momentous occasion by dropping a very exclusive batch of seltzer called "100". The article states that the flavor has notes of strawberry and citrus (right up my alley) and the bottle...wait for it.....GLOWS IN THE DARK!
