In 1981, Chip and Jo Manning started C&J Barbeque in a small convenience store. Over 40 years later, the business grew to become a staple in the BCS community.
Soon after converting their gas station into C&J Barbeque in 1997, Jo Manning told her husband, Chip, she was going to advertise selling their brisket on Super Bowl Sunday.
