Feb 27, 2021 GWINN, MI – Elizabeth M. “Liz” Zenti, 77, of Gwinn, passed away Wednesday morning, February 17, 2021 at Trillium Houseafter a short illness in the presence of her loving family and under the care of Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice. Liz was born on April 17, 1943 in Escanaba, Michigan, the daughter of the late Walter and Marion (Miller) Olson. She was a 1961 graduate of Escanaba Holy Name High School and graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1965 with a degree in Elementary Education. Later in her career, she received a Master’s Degree in Education from NMU. On October 14, 1967, Liz married Peter J. Zenti at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone. Liz first met Peter on the “Cliffs Ridge” ski hill in Marquette while they were both teaching in the Gwinn School system. They settled in Gwinn where they built a beautiful home, raised their two daughters, and enjoyed nearly 40 years of marriage together. While the girls were gro ....
