Corpus Christi s Save Our Seniors program rolling out in 26 Texas counties

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Governor Greg Abbott announced Monday that Corpus Christi s Save Our Seniors program is being implemented in 26 Texas counties.
The Texas Division of Emergency (TDEM), the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), and the Texas Military Department (TMD) are using the model developed in Corpus Christi to help more seniors get vaccinated throughout the state.
Working with local officials and organizations, they expect to give 8,000 vaccine doses in the first week of the program. The Save Our Seniors program will help us reach vulnerable homebound seniors across the state and provide them with live-saving COVID-19 vaccines, said Governor Abbott. CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas According to the last homeless count before the pandemic, there were 830 men and women on the streets of Corpus Christi.
Metro Ministries is ready to administer the shots of the COVID vaccine to the homeless and their shelter clients and are just waiting, like everyone else, for the supply to catch up with demand.
