RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN – WGNS has more details on a fire that claimed the life of a Christiana man this past Friday night. The identity of the victim has been confirmed to be 67-year-old Kyle Thomas McAfee. Evidently, McAfee, who was the homeowner, died just 29-days before his 68th birthday.

(ROCKVALE) Here's an update on the deadly Thursday (2/9/2023) night fire on Snell Road. The fire marshal ruled the fire that killed 69-year old Obie Ship and his three pets as accidental. 
Fire Marshal Josh Sanders explained that Rutherford County Fire-Rescue arrived at the home in the 3700 block of Snell Road within 3-minutesand that the structure was fully engulfed.

One Person and Three Pets Die in a Thursday Night Fire in Rutherford County


Rutherford County, TN - One person and three pets died in a house fire Thursday night at the 3700-block of Snell Road, Rutherford County Fire Rescue Department reported. The 3700 block only has about 13-homes on it. Snell Road sits between Highway 41 and I-24 in Christiana, close to Elam Road. The victim’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
One firefighter sustained injuries and was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries and was later discharged.

Early Saturday Morning Blaze

An early Saturday morning (12/4/2021) blaze destroyed a structure on East Gum Road. Firefighters arrived to find the detached garage fully involed. 
Flames were quickly extinguished, but the building and its contents were destroyed.
