It was a good news, bad news afternoon for the Lincoln softball team’s offense. The good news was during the 14 innings played Saturday, the Blue Tigers only went down in order twice. The bad news was Lincoln left 23 runners on base, scoring just five runs in its MIAA doubleheader against the Emporia State Hornets at Vogel Field.

With the snow melting from last week’s winter storm, the Lincoln softball team took advantage of the warmer weather to prepare for the start of the season. The players hope the warmer weather is here to stay, but in the meantime, they headed south for the season opener.
