Law enforcement authorities said the man fatally shot during a confrontation with Palm Bay police officers Sunday is a suspect in the death of his mother in Martin County hours earlier.  Martin County sheriff's deputies checking on a woman at her son's home in Palm City Sunday found her fatally shot in the back of the head, according to reports and Martin County Sheriff William Snyder.
