UA event looks at poultry welfare
Poultry welfare has become more important to consumers and producers in recent years, and it's a critical issue in Arkansas, which leads the nation in poultry production, said Shawna Weimer, director of the Center for Food Animal Wellbeing, which is part of the University of Arkansas System's Division of Agriculture.
