The county does have a plan in place when there is a 911 service disruption. The countys 911 director telling me the plan worked. One 2000 911 calls. Thats how many calls dispatchers at st. Petersburg Police Departments 911 call center normally field in a day. When the center took over calls from the Pinellas County sheriff, largo, pinellas park, and Tarpon Springs Police Departments, that number more than doubled. Us it was seamless.
