Williams is likely to receive the nomination from the Board of Supervisors on March 16. The County City Selections Committee is working on finding a date later this month to select its city council nominee, according to Jacquelyne Alexander, chief deputy clerk of the board. Harmon is expected to receive the nomination by the City Selections Committee. If appointed, Harmon said she would have an active part in conversations about sea-level rise and balancing coastal protection with the needs for housing in the community. Harmon has been following the Coastal Commission very closely for a number of years and wants the opportunity to have a seat at the table during those discussions, she said. ....
