HOUGHTON LAKE, Mich. – A Michigan man will serve more than two decades in prison after pleading guilty to sex crimes involving pre-teen boys,
Michael Clune, of
Houghton Lake, was charged with aggravated child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a felony. The first charge carries a sentence of 145 months to 25 years, and the second carries a sentence of 140 months to 20 years.
Officials said Clune faced charges in Roscommon and Shiawassee counties after criminal sexual conduct involving multiple pre-teen boys. ....

LANSING - A Houghton Lake man will serve more than two decades in prison for child sex crimes, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced today.
Michael Clune faced charges in Roscommon and Shiawassee Counties stemming from criminal sexual conduct involving multiple pre-teen boys. He pleaded guilty in both cases.
Tuesday afternoon, Clune was sentenced by Roscommon County Circuit Court Judge Robert W. Bennett on the following charges, which will run concurrently:
Aggravated child sexually abusive activity;
145 months to 25 years with credit for 251 days served. ....

Man Charged With Breaking and Entering In Clare County

The Clare County Sheriff’s Department says a Farwell man has been charged with breaking and entering in Clare County.
Deputies say around one a.m. Monday, the man had broken into the Dairy Queen in Hayes Township and attempted to break into the safe and cash register. He was identified and arrested the same day.
On Tuesday, Robert Wade, 28, was charged by the Clare County Prosecutor’s Office with breaking and entering a building with intent, larceny in a building, and attempted safe breaking.
He remains lodged in the Clare County Jail. ....

Clare chase nabs thief and vehicles stolen in Mt. Pleasant and Isabella County

A Clare County man driving an SUV stolen in Mt. Pleasant led Clare deputies on a chase through ditches, snow banks and a farm field Tuesday morning before fleeing on foot and being captured.
Clare sheriff s deputies were initially looking for a GMC Denali that had just been stolen in the area of Vandecar Road and Coleman Road in Isabella County and had headed north toward Farwell.Â Â
Deputies were checking the area of Redâs Oakridge Gas Station and Oakridge subdivision when (they) located the vehicle, sheriff s officials said in a press release. The vehicle had driven through a yard behind Oakridge Gas Station, at which time a female jumped out of the vehicle and began to run. ....
