A Nebraska lawmaker behind a new law that allows public money to go to private school tuition is now targeting the petition referendum process that could see it repealed
Sen. Lou Ann Linehan of Elkhorn, who sponsored the “Opportunity Scholarships Act," said there are too many hoops for Nebraskans to jump through to remove their name from petitions.
Nebraska Sen. Linehan, who pushed a law for private school scholarships, is now seeking to simplify the process of removing signatures from petitions against it.
