COVID-19 Moderna vaccine: Pensacola hospitals first in Florida to get doses
The hospital started administering the vaccine Wednesday to frontline medical staff who are expected to come into contact with COVID-19 patients. The first shipment of vaccines to Pensacola's civilian hospitals comes as Escambia County's COVID-19 numbers are seeing the largest increase since the pandemic began. Escambia County added 1,167 new cases last week from Dec. 7 to 13, according to the Florida Department of Health.
