Takeuchi Electrifies Mini Excavator, Ships 100 to URI

Takeuchi’s first battery-powered excavator, its TB20e, will be available at select United Rental locations in North America. The company will ship the first 100 electric excavators to its rental partner. The 4,255-pound TB20e has a maximum digging depth of 7 feet 10 inches with a maximum reach of 13 feet 4 inches. It carries a 1.35-cubic-yard bucket. When fully charged, it can work continuously from 4 to 8 hours, depending on application, according to Takeuchi.
