Cola Beale IV told detectives he shot his cousin because he was "acting crazy" and had become a "liability" in the days after Beale fatally shot his girlfriend and a man who had been a father figure to Beale most of his life.
Beale is accused of first-degree murder in connection to the 2022 death of his cousin. He was convicted in March for the murders of his girlfriend and father figure.
The man accused of going on a killing spree in March appeared before a Norfolk judge Thursday morning.
In a jailhouse interview with 13News Now, Cola Beale, 31, confessed to killing three people back in March. Now, he will face nine new charges.
