New York State continues its decarbonization push where eligible municipalities will get a piece of a $2.1 million grant
Last week, the New York State Climate Action Council, a body of 22 state officials and appointees, approved the state’s final Climate Scoping Plan. This is our guide to reaching our ambitious climate goals, which include 70% renewable energy by 2030 and 100% zero emission electricity by 2040. Simply put, this means New York must retire fossil fuel plants and stop burning fossil fuels like gas in buildings.
