Students proved their hard work and dedication to furthering their knowledge in the sciences by presenting their projects professionally in a variety of settings for these competitions.
Sophia Dulin discussed the “Development of Natural Paint from Clinker Pyro Metamorphic Rock” and received a blue ribbon and advanced to the finals. She then received a bronze medal, the ASM Materials Education Foundation award, the MT Tech-University Mining Dept. Award and the MT Tech University Metallurgy Dept. Award.
Sayge Barkley presented the “Development of Bio-plastic from Feather Keratin” and received a red ribbon, the NOAA Taking the Pulse of the Planet Award, the RICOH sustainable development award and the Yale Science and Engineering Award. She also received fourth at the symposium and will be advancing to Nationals! ....
