That really made things melt really quickly. we had snow in parts of the northeast and melting very quickly due to the warm temperatures but now it s cold again so that should help slow down the rate of snow melt across these areas. and as far as the additional snowfall accumulation, we have quick moving clipper systems through the washington, d.c. they ve got a little snow right now but most of the accumulation is on grassy surfaces and maybe about an inch or so so not really a huge story in terms of accumulation of snow in the areas. if anything, across parts of the gulf coast, we ll see some areas of heavy rain, especially as we head into tomorrow. parts of the midwest, we mentioned those cold temperatures are back. take a look what is currently out there. it s currently five degrees below zero in fargo and international falls. nine degrees below zero and that s not the wind chill. that s the actual temperature out here across portions of the upper midwest. low temps tonight are goi ....
Frigid air moving southward and these fast moving clipper systems that will bring in some cases higher totals across the great lakes over the next several days. this is going to be ongoing, again, like groundhog day. not a whole lot of snow, but because we have these blustery conditions, watches and warnings are up in the northeast. again, not huge amounts of snow, it s just going to re-enforce all of that arctic air yet again this week. your average temperature in minneapolis is 24. on monday, minus 11. that s the air temperature. wednesday will bump up a little bit, but then another arctic air blast is coming late next week. you can see chicago average 31 there, minus 4 on monday, new york your average is 38 and we re looking at 17 on tuesday. so again, it s going to continue to be this way, dipping as far south as the gulf coast again, we had a winter storm in parts of louisiana and texas, and that ....

Time. we talked about the polar vortex in early january. and this could actually even be colder in areas like international falls and through places like minnesota and minneapolis and chicago, too. we are still seeing some snow showers. we have one, two clipper systems. these produced a little bit of snow, and we are certainly seeing the snow in the northeast, especially towards the great lakes, where we ll see most of our snowfall with the lake enhancement, 6 to 12 inches. elsewhere, especially through in and around the great lakes, it looks like we ll see 3 to 6. then the next one moves in. we could see another inch or two. but it is going to be brutally cold and really not changing any time soon. you know, i m looking at your map there, and i see the white around new york. there s this thing called the super bowl coming up in about a week. what is the forecast for that? if i had to make a forecast right now, the latest models are indicating we could see a little bit of light sno ....
