Car fire spread to house and cause a gas leak in Bowburn
A WOMAN has told how a torched car outside her home caused a gas leak and meant residents from two streets were evacuated in case of an explosion. Emergency services were sent to Walker Street, in Bowburn, after the Toyota Rav-4 was set alight outside Gemma Bennett’s house. The alarm was raised by the 25-year-old after a disturbance. The Car was destroyed in the fire Ms Bennett said: “The car was set on fire, which has caused damaged to the front of my property. “It has resulted in a gas leak. "The gas box was on fire and the gas was leaking out.
