THE new mayor for Towyn and Kinmel Bay has been been sworn in. Cllr Kay Redhead, 41, has lived in Kinmel Bay for 10 years and for the past four years, has served as town councillor. Cllr Redhead is married to David and has five sons that attend schools in the area. The school governor at Emrys Ap Iwan and Maes Owen works as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities. She is also a trained teaching assistant. Cllr Redhead said: "Firstly, I would like to say how honoured I am to be elected mayor for Towyn and Kinmel Bay Town Council for the year 2021-22.
